Russia says may temporarily manage more foreign firms
MOSCOW, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- The list of foreign companies under temporary Russian state management may be extended, spokesman for the presidential administration Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
"This list of companies under external management may be extended, of course," Peskov said.
President Vladimir Putin signed late on Tuesday a decree envisaging temporary external management of foreign assets in case of Russian assets' withdrawal abroad. After that, he temporarily withdrew the Russian assets of power companies Fortum and Unipro.
According to Peskov, the decree does not cover personal property and assets of foreigners.
The official said that the initiative was a symmetrical response to the withdrawal of Russian assets in the unfriendly states.
